The 2024 Wright Memorial Dinner was held on Friday, December 13th and honored (the late) Ben Baldanza for “… his 38 years of dedicated service to the U.S. airline industry and his visionary leadership in introducing the ultra-low-cost model to the United States, which has expanded access to air travel to tens-of-millions of Americans.”
In addition, the Aero Club of Washington presented its inagural Person(s) of the Year Award to Chairman Sam Graves, Ranking Member Rick Larsen, Senator Maria Cantwell, and Senator Ted Cruz for their leadership in crafting and
shepherding through Congress the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024.
